Rare Lanco Double Cased Waterproof Swiss Made Early 1900’s Manual Tank Watch. About the watch & condition. Here we have a stunning Lanco Tank watch with a nice mechanical hand wind movement as shown. This is a very rare watch, firstly due to the fact that it is double cased, as you can see from the pictures. This is due to it been from the first couple of years they made waterproof watches! The quality of this double casing is stunning! The watch is also a great size, usually watches from this era were much smaller! Tank watches are becoming more & more popular. It’s a great looking watch and is keeping time well. When tested it lost just under 2 minutes over a 24 hour period. The watch has a super nice dial with some patina on as shown. The numbered markers look great! There is some general wear which you’d expect from an older watch. The case is in great condition overall, it’s got some minor general wear such as light surface scratches but nothing major at all. The crown is working well, it’s a nice size making it easier to use. It’s sat on a black leather strap which will fit a wrist of up to 7 1/4 inches. The strap itself is slightly worn as shown in the photos but still looks nice & could easily be swapped out if needed. This watch is a mechanical watch, this means it needs to be wound for it to work. This is just for the watch, there’s no box or paperwork.
