This is a brand new tank from MID-USA that we added a Fuel sight tube. We have used them on many builds like xs-650 bobbers and Sportsters MID-USA 81025 Frisco mount Sportster tank for custom use. Tank length 15 1/2. Tank length with tabs 17 1/2. Tank front width 9. Tank has a 2.4 gallon capacity. Tank uses 1982 and later screw in type gas cap (not included). Bung for petcock left side 3/8 NPT. Tunnel Style: Low Height. Universal Mount Frisco Tank. Check out our mounting kit for these tanks. A fuel capacity of 2.4 gallons and accepts a screw in style gas cap. The tank is universal with front and rear mounting tabs. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition, and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check the petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Frisco Mount Sportster Gas Tank – Standard Width – 2.5 gallon. This Sportster Frisco mount gas tank will sit up higher on your backbone than the standard tank. This is the standard width version, which has similar dimensions to a stock Harley-Davidson Sportster gas tank. These 2.5 gallon gas tanks are top quality, heavy gauge steel with an offset gas filler bung that accepts a thread-in Harley-Davidson style gas cap. These tanks feature a single 1/4 inch NPT petcock fitting at the lowest point of the tank for maximum miles on the road. This is far superior to other Frisco Sportster style gas tanks that have a petcock bung on the flat bottom of the gas tank, as when your gas tank is mounted to your frame’s backbone it is at an angle, and this traps a lot of gas which cannot be used as it is below the petcock bung location.
