Band material: ORIGINAL CARTIER LEATHER BAND. Case material: Gold, Silver. A simply stunning genuine Ladies Must de Cartier Tank Watch. The watch is vermeil, 18k gold plated on sterling silver. An absolute design classic dating back to the end of WW1. Cartier is not only a giant name in the world of jewellery, but the epitome of class and good taste and is a premier name in luxury watches (worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and many others including Michelle Obama). It is in very good working condition with only very minor signs of wear consummate with age (please see the photographs). It is running smoothly. The Cartier mechanical hand winding movement for this watch is the famous 17 jewel Cartier 78-1 ETA 2512-1. It has the classic rectangular Tank case in vermeil, with screwed back, fluted crown set with a sapphire cabochon. The black dial is rarer than the more commonly seen champagne dial. It has roman numerals and “Must de Cartier” below the 12 oclock and “Swiss” below the 6 oclock. Original Cartier leather strap and in excellent condition/ The rear case is marked “CARTIER PARIS 925 ARGENT PLAQUE OR G 20M SWISS” with case number “3 021941″. It has the correct 4 screws to hold the case together. 25 mm including Cartier Sapphire Crown Lug tip to lug tip : approx. 28 mm A beautiful genuine Cartier Tank watch which looks stunning with the black strap and black dial.
