Army and a single father of a young child that needs special attention, and was a motorcycle mechanic for a lot of years. I have designed, engineered, and produced Joe’s Gas Tank Stand not just to keep your tanks safe and out of arms way in the shop but also the paint and body people can use them to do there sculpting, forming and sanding. With the top of the stand being able to rotate 360 degrees, the airbrush people will be able to get a continues flow from side to side. If there is a dash involved you can place it on the tanks and this will help to make sure the art work lines-up across the dash or blends in to it. Given the ability to rotate at ones given height one would be able to sit and work in comfort relieving stress and pressure on their feet. The top of head is adjustable and removable. Removable for single tanks, adjustable for the in difference in tank manufactures (aftermarket). The stand has three heights it can be adjust to. Recommend not using bottom inside hole for pivoting. If the gas tank has a tunnel and front or rear mounting ears it will fit. The finished product will be powder coated and the most common tank mounting hardware will be included. There are some tanks that are rubber d ring strapped on the tail of the tank (dirt bike plastic) and for them I used a zip tie (not included) to hold them in place. Each stand is personally and individualy hand crafted by disabled that still feel they have something to give. This stand is a very good product that can be used in bike show displays, in the paint shop, body shop, repair shop or just to through your hat on. I have tested for fitment on several different years, makes, models, manufactures and some custom gas tanks and it works. If the tank has a tunnel, mounting ears in the front or rear of the tank then this stand will work for you. The base has rubber pads to protect your surface. Basic measurements are (with head) 20″H x 20″L x 3″W (base 12″ x 12). How it started and were I want to go. I was working on my bike and noticed that the tanks took up a lot of space. Pen went to paper noting that the tanks must set level like on the bike. I roughly fabricated a stand and it worked. I starting looking at other tank and made modifications that will adapt to two piece or one piece tanks at all time keeping its levelness. I turned my big garage it to a small fabrication shop with the cutting, drilling and mill machines I needed for this project. I surveyed at least 280+ airbrush artist with my video and all was wondering when they will be available. Joes Gas Tank Stand really works and has become a wanted product.
