Vintage Wyler Stainless Steel Fancy Case Automatic Mens Watch 17J 1950
This is a vintage wristwatch dating to circa 1950. This is beautiful, clean, and in very good condition. The watch runs well and keeps time. The time sets as it should. The case is all stainless steel and it is about 26mm wide not including the crown. It is about 37mm long to the tips of the lugs. The movement is a high quality Wyler AS 1230 Automatic and it has 17 jewels. The band is a new, good quality Hadley Roma Oil Tanned leather replacement. The total length of the watch is about 9 inches. This uses an 18 mm band which could easily be replaced if you prefer a different style or length. The crystal is clean and clear and has no scratches. The dial is very nice and is depicted accurately in the pictures. Please see my other listings… Please note that all pictures are taken on the macro setting. This makes even the slightest imperfections and specks of dust appear much more prominent though they are often not visible without magnification. Thickness is 6.5mm1963 production year. Includes original signed crown. Serviced in 2018 and keeping good time. Approximately 48 hour power reserve. Solid stainless 2-piece case with wide side bezels and thin profile, measuring 27mm by 34mm excluding the original signed crown and only 6.5mm thick. A great size for an average men’s wrist or a perfect candidate for an over-sized women’s watch. Original factory printed silver dial with vertical baton style applied markers, signed Omega, Swiss Made. Some slight discoloration can be seen in a few places on the dial, but overall the look on your wrist is clean and crisp. High quality Omega in-house calibre 620 manual wind movement signed Omega Watch Co. Swiss, 17 Jewels, Adjusted 2 Positions with a serial number dating it to 1963.
