Since its creation by Louis Cartier in 1917, the Cartier Tank has been associated with some of the worlds most renowned figures from Royalty to actors from politicians to sports stars. The Cartier Tank is an iconic piece, steeped in horological history. Its design has certainly stood the test of time taking on a variety of different forms. The piece we have here is the Cartier Tank Francaise, which was released 1996, shortly after the release of the Amercaine in 1989. This piece is a reference 2384 and has a guilloche dial. The 20mm stainless steel case is fitted with the classic sapphire crown and a screw down case back. The crystal is clear. The case is in good condition. Inside is a quartz movement which is running well. The watch is on its original stainless steel Cartier bracelet which is in a similar condition to the case.
